Sam, a CPA and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), brings over 12 years of financial services experience across Canada, the Cayman Islands, and Kenya, with a focus on hedge fund accounting, regulatory compliance, and anti-financial crime frameworks. At CLA, Sam applies his expertise in integrating IFRS S2 Climate-Related Disclosures to help clients navigate sustainability and risk management challenges. His career includes roles at UBS, Mitsubishi, and KPMG in Kenya and the Cayman Islands. Sam currently teaches Financial Services courses at the Nova Scotia Community College School of Business. He is a member of the Capital Market Authority of Kenya Working Group, advising on derivatives instruments and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), and serves on several boards, chairing Finance, Audit, and Risk Committees.
